Q: How long have you been in business?
A: The formal business is three years old. I have had a life long love affair with paper crafts. That love steadily grew into a skill as a classroom teacher, where I made exemplary learning aids and displays.
Q: Tell us a little about the products that you sell.
A: A Penny for Your Thoughts provides high quality greeting cards for all occasions. We also sell coordinated gift sets that usually include a gift bag or box, card and tag.
Q: What is your best selling item?
A: Greeting cards and gift sets for specific holidays like Christmas, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
Q: Do you have a wholesale division?
A: Our executive mailing service that series as our wholesale division. Local businesses provide us pertinent information about their clientele and we send greetings for their specific special occasions.
Q: What do you want others to know about your company.
A: Our cards are a full size 8.5x5.5 inches compared to the typical "A2" which is 5x4 inches. We only use the highest quality materials so that our items can be incorporated into scrapbooks or memory boxes. All materials are made in a smoke and pet free studio. Shipping is included in the cost of items.
Q: How did you decide on the name for your business?
A: A Penny for Your Thoughts is the combination of my nickname "Penny" and the time-honored phrase.
Q: Where do you see your business going in 5 years?
A: Our goal is to expand our placement into local shoppes as well as expanding our online presence. We are currently in conversation with local organizations regarding a partnership in order to provide employment for individuals with limited work experience.
Q: What is your favorite product to make?
A: I love putting together gift sets. The idea of designing a set of matching items for someone's special occasion brings me joy as well.
Q: What do you feel sets you apart from others in your industry?
A: The ability to provide reasonably priced high quality items that are keepsakes.
Q: Tell us something most people don't know about you.
A: I am a firm believer in supporting individuals who seek to change their lives. Our business donates congratulatory cards to local organizations serving women entering the work force for the first time.
